Final Payment must be made once you have your final number of students (no later than 4 weeks prior to travelling). In your tour pack, we include easy to fill out forms, Final Numbers, Gender Breakdown and Dietary Requirements. These forms must be returned to Unearth-ed no more than 3 weeks prior travel to arrange your room allocation and dietary meals.
What is the PACER rebate and how can I apply?
Parliament and Civics Education Rebate is an initiative of the Australian Government which provides some financial assistance for students in Year 4 – 12 across Australia to travel to Canberra. Unearth-ed will make sure to book all mandatory PACER attractions (Parliament House, Old Parliament House and/or Electoral Education Centre and Australian War Memorial). Schools must apply for the rebate themselves however we are happy to help you. Unearth-ed sends out a tour pack which includes the PACER FORM, 6 weeks prior to travel and we recommend applying once you receive it. For more info, check out Pacer website here.
What are the room configurations?
Mainly the students are placed in 4, 6, 8 or 10 share rooms. Most accommodation places provide linen, if not, we will let you know about it. Teachers are placed in twin rooms unless you request teachers to have their own single rooms (at extra cost).
Best time to travel to Canberra?
If you are looking at saving some money, we recommend your school to travel in TERM 1, as there are some great saving to be made. If you are looking at the snow, the best time is June, July and August.
Why is it important to book in advance?
More and more Australian schools travel to Canberra, therefore to get the best itinerary and availability, we recommend you book at least 1 to 2 years in advance.

When flights are involved, the deposit will be due 2 weeks after you have confirmed you wish to go ahead. When there are no flights, the deposit will be due 1 month after your confirmation, and it will be $20 to $100 per person depending on your travel requirements.
